Not sure if anyone else has had this experience, but I'm starting to see Apple Watches in the wild a lot more than I used to. I'm not someone who usually notices other people's watches, so I think the fact that I'm noticing this says something. It feels like just about every day I'll see at least one now, whereas up until a month ago it still seemed pretty rare. I wonder if the recent deals at Best Buy and Target had an effect.

What how about it? Anyone else having more Apple Watch sightings these days?

I was on vacation last month and saw one on a desk clerk in Jamaica!

Not in-the-wild, but I'm starting to be able to catch them being worn by people on the shows I watch.

Any reason in particular?

I bought the SS in October so I'm only now beginning to realise how much sweatier the material feels vs the sport in this weather. And the screen feels less readable but I need to give it a good clean tonight to see if that's actually the case.

I see them quite frequently. Not every day but I see a couple a week. I see them more frequently now than when it first launched.

I've seen exactly 3. Ever. The first was on a cruise last summer. A couple had either the SS black or the SG (hard to tell at a distance). Both had the white sport band, which I found hideous with the dark watch. In January I attended a meeting in NOLA, and one of the presenters was wearing an AW. Last week I attended a meeting locally, and saw someone wearing one.

That's four.

The watch is junk when I see those who have them they literally never do anything with them except see who's calling them. Amazing people waste money on such a bad product.

I work from home so I notice more and more on TV, but I typically see one or more every time I go out to grocery stores or restaurants.

I was at the Mall of America and they probably sold three in the 5 minutes I was there. It was packed.

I'm actually seeing them a lot more at my lifetime fitness. Most people wear nothing but when I do see someone wearing a band it's much more likely to be an Watch than Fitbit or anything else.

That reminds me, I actually saw a guy wearing one the other day, who pulled his phone out of his pocket to check it, and slid it back in. The watch never lit up during the whole thing. I found myself wondering if it was just habit, or if the watch had run out of power, or maybe he just loved his phone so much he had to catch a quick glimpse of it.

Same for me, which means I don't get out as much as most people. That makes it even more surprising to me. One place I'll especially notice them is when I'm behind someone at a drive through and they reach their hand out the window to pay or grab their coffee or food. I'm seeing a lot more smart watches in general, not just Apple Watch.

nudist gym?!?
I thought the same thing. Ironically, I've only ever seen one at a gym once right around the same time I got mine.

I am too, far more of the round variety. I actually find them more attractive in general than the Watch with a blank screen for some reason. Probably because they look more like a watch, even though there's no visible face.

I never see them at the gym. I also don't see many other fitness bands either. I do see fitness bands on almost every other person at work. Interestingly those are not typically people who spend a lot of time at the gym. I think in general, maybe people who are regular gym members are less concerned about tracking their fitness in the way the watch provides. I know I don't need a watch for that purpose.
