So are you more interested in the State of the Union address tonight or the Apple Media Event today?

Well I can sum up the state of the union quite easily.

    Lie, lie, lie, lie.. lie.

Just like the old joke, how do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is open.

Obama, in my book, seems to have really dropped the ball.

Okay, I should have limited responses to the politically-engaged citizens  of the US.

I thought about this last night, if they were both on at the same time I would probably watch the apple event. I don't expect much new from Obama, but apple tablet! *drool*

They both take your money for stuff you don't need.

    Apple's toys are shinier.

Joe Wilson should go to the Apple event, though.

"We've got some great things to show you today!"
    "YOU LIE!"

Same. Besides I want to hear more than talk from Obama. He's done talk before and isn't getting anywhere with it.

I'll spend an hour paying attention to the Apple event, 20 minutes dealing with barricades due to the State of the Union. One hour is more than 20 minutes, so I view the Apple event as more important.

Agreed, except the tablet is half the price I expected it to be, and it comes with a dock/keyboard. If the current healthcare bill did that, then I'd be in favor of it. ;)

Lots of computers and consumer electronics are.

Don't like it? Buy American computers. Good luck with that, BTW.

Quite recently. The sudden 30% drop in the Pound's value since 2007 has actually made it more economic for our manufacturers to insource jobs from China. Whether this is good news or bad remains to be seen.

And our manufacturing is still pretty weak, most jobs are in the services industry, but more skilled than burger flippers.
