Let me see, so rather than vote for a good bill, you would rather try to paint any Democrat who voted for what would otherwise be a good bill, as someone who supports paying porn lovers.

SERIOUSLY, you are elected by people to represent them, not so you can be jerks.

Once again, the Democrats have no balls. They should have called their bluff and voted for it.

Who doesn't want to be allowed to watch porn at work? Or, erm, that wasn't the point, was it?

I think every democrat needs to introduce a pray to satan amendment on every republican bill from here to eternity. Oh wait, you want lower taxes, but that means you pray to satan, doesn't it.

Or, how about a bill requiring every straight couple to give at least one child up for adoption to a gay couple. That would really get their goats.

So the republicans entered an amendment that said we couldn't pay the salaries of people who were caught surfing porn at work and this is a bad thing how?

What jobs can you get caught looking at porn at and keep your job? (besides the SEC of course, because we know they don't have anything better to do).

Why the hell would that be attached to this bill? What relevancy does it have?

It's not the porn ban that's the problem. It's that the Democrats would have had, procedurally, to vote against the porn ban in order to keep the main bill (with which it has nothing to do) alive. So, since they are not against the porn ban, they couldn't save their own bill....

It doesn't have any relevancy. It's a procedural stunt.

If we asked that about every bill we wouldn't have any. I don't see any problem with firing government workers who are wanking it on our public funds.

Why couldn't they just ammend it and pass it?

I'm foggy on that part... I think it's because the motion to recommit has procedural precedence, but I'm not sure. If this kind of trick really works I'm surprised (sadly) that it isn't getting used more often.
