    O...M...G...

I cannot believe that. WTF were they thinking? The kids had to be freaked out too. That's just... I don't know, I'm speechless.

The nut jobs on all sides make the sick. That was crossing the line. That being said I known a few people in my time that are pro democrate and they did some rather low ball things like that as well.

It is those loan nut jobs that give the entire group a bad name.

    To middle school kids?

It's astonishing. They don't care who they attack anymore.

Why are they letting random people into the school? Can they not hold their caucuses somewhere else? Even if they are using the school, they should not be allowed into the classrooms.

That is your defense is did they do the same thing?

Low ball and pathetic is well low ball and pathetic.
As I said I have seen it from both sides on all issues. It is sad. I watch a parent yell at some kid because he was pro republican. The kids were talking (jr high age) and it was something about Bush and they were talking among themselves and a parent/adult came over and just rip into them. It was very uncalled for.

    1. The kids talking with each other were all pro bush. They were not being load. and they were not forcing there opinion on any one. But the adult just went off on them. It was sad and pathetic.

Right now the nut cases in the GOP are making the news. Still those truly bad one are few and far between.

Remember the mass media cares very little for the truth. They care about controversy and rating so time and time again they will make things look at lot worse than they really are.

Of course that's terrible. But at the same time, it wasn't an organization holding an event like this was. That's a lot more people than just one adult. That would have scared the crap out of me as a kid.

I'd like to see the humorous side here(teach goes to see the classes projects, only to find a bumper sticker), but its actually quite scary that someone would be so eager to promote his or her agenda, that the person who remove educational materials to further it.

Its certainly not the first or last time, but its always concerning when it happens.

Although I don't think this would have scared me in the least, its pretty ridiculous that adults are going into classrooms and doing this type of ****. Sounds like a prank we would have pulled in middle school to tell the truth... as students.

I read that story while there was an event at the school it only takes 1-2 GOP nut job to cross the line and do that type of damage.

It was not a bunch of them. I am guessing it was 1 or 2 who did all the damage. The rest did not know about it until they read it in the paper. It is not hard to do that with out any one knowing.

In this case the media is trying to say a group did it but not really stated the more likely truth that only 1 or 2 of the people there did it.

Regardless- they were part of a large political group using the school. Like it or not, they are representatives of that group and any one person's actions are going to reflect on that group, whether they like it or not. It's good that the GOP apologized, but I wonder if they will be permitted to use the school again.

Personally I think the GOP should apologized launch an internal investigation and hang those people out to die.

Lynching over a bumper sticker?

I'd settle for just a little public humiliation.

I just realized something, why are these anti tax Tea Partyers holding their meeting in a public school that is paid for by taxes?

Certainly what they did was out of line, but classifying every member in attendance as an "anti-tax Tea Party?"

You'd think they'd be supporting small business by holding it in the banquet room of the local steak house.

Honestly, this needs more press than the Bangor Daily. Someone like Gannett, or the AP, Reuters, or Knight-Ridder needs to pick this story up.

However, I am surprised that the local yokels haven't chimed in to defend this yet. I would love to hear their response (if they can come up with a good one)...
