With all due respect, and without minimizing what this guy did (assuming he did, innocent until proven guilty and all that, yadda yadda yadda), I can think of much slimier crimes than robbing nuns.

Unless this guy was a devout Christian, I don't see it being any better or worse than stealing from anyone else.

Guy sounds like a real winner either way.

I used to steal clothes from nuns, but now I've managed to kick the habit.

Why does the fact that they are nuns make it any worse?

    It's actually better.

Nuns live simple lives and eschew personal possessions. Arguably the loss of something physical would be less of a big deal to a nun than to a regular person.

Yes in theory. However, when my mother was a nurse, she worked at one of the finest retirement home for nuns, located on one of the most affluent streets in the city. This estate was huge, and whenever it received money, what do you think the residents did with it? Donate it to charitable causes? Hell no,the money went straight to renovation, decorating, and expansion of their expensive estate.

And although some of the residing sisters were great and compassionate individuals, some where downright abusive and racist to the help.

I guess it's true-- the Pope does wear Prada ;)

Now how exactly did you stop?
    I just can't stop!:(

Why would you steal from a nun anyway, just to brag?

Then what sense does it make to rob a nun? I mean, how rude.

I've never stolen from a nun. It was a joke, punning off the word 'habit' - which is both nun's clothes and an undesired impulsion.
