Step by step unlock tutorial for 2.0?

So I have the first generation iPhone running 2.0 software. My phone has never been jailbroken/unlocked, but I'd like to unlock it now. I downloaded both bootloaders, and I'm only getting a bouncing dock icon for pwnage 2.0. How should I go about doing unlocking so I don't mess up my phone too badly? If someone could give me a walk-through through the menus, that would be great! (Just know that I'm a total novice in this jailbreak stuff).

Thanks, this is exactly what i was looking for as well

Although, I made a mistake in my first install. Didn't option click restore, and now i have a phone which iTunes won't recognise as I haven't got the original SIM...and hence I can't restore correctly...BAH...anyone know how to fix?

So I don't have a SIM card in my iPhone that I want to jailbreak with 2.0. Do I need to have a SIM card in there?
