I here ya

Duke, I'm in the same boat, except I already have pro....

Both the normal Quicktime, and MP4 keep on timing out....

Damn! I was sitting pretty waiting to watch the keynote, then went up to get cofee and go to the bathroom. I was back five minutes later, during which time the keynote went live, and I was never able to get in...

Sucks!

Man, I'm so :eek:ing disappointed. I can't get video with 28.8k dial-up, and I get extremely poor audio, and when I set Quicktime to read the modem at 56k I lose the video and audio quickly. So basically, I can't see the keynote. :(

This was supposed to be a countdown for me, since I had the audio cassettes ready, and it's like there is no clock on the screen or in the house.

Does anyone know where to get some screen shots of the presentation, or AT LEAST news coverage?

>(dukestreet)I can't get the damn thing. Should I get the prokey? I dont' think that should matter.

I assume you guys have something that is "usually" WAY better than ***** dial-up. It's times like this, where I ***** NEED cable, but we don't have the $h!t to pay for it.

I hear you guys complaining. I'm sure you two and I are not alone. If this is the way mp4 presents itself for the biggest event halfway through the year I wonder if this is the best mp4 will get streaming data like this.

I actually got video and mostly solid audio for the SF broadcast in Jan. (I forget which setting), and to think it would have improved here was obviously an understatement.

Just like SF, those with higher speed modems are having trouble. This is just about as F'ed up as these keynote broadcasts get.

rendezvous to be built into itunes - automatically finds and configures with any device on an ip network - streaming audio over airport - he fired up itunes and used airport to import playlist from another comp on stage and played mp3 from it on itunes via airport - wicked!

I'm sure most of us are very well aware of that. But, apparently, we can't get ANY decent connections w/ or w/o mp4 and QT6 final, no matter what speeds you have.

All right. Where can you watch the broadcast via RealPlayer?

MWSF...

The same thing happened to me at MWSF. I couldn't get ****.

Last MWNY, on the other hand, the stream was up about 12 hours in advance, so I got on no problem and saw the whole thing like a dream.

Oh well, I guess the text updates on the main macrumors page, as well as Mac Minute, and Macnn will have to do.

Hey, guys. I can't get to Apple's website. I get an error "operation timeout" or something like that. There must be some heavy updates or too many people there.

datalok, where are you getting the broadcast from?
