Streaming to PS3

At a friends house last night, on his PC laptop he was able to transfer media over wifi from Azureus to his PS3 and watch downloaded video on his TV via the Playstation.

I watch quite alot of video from on my TV via my macbook with a cable, however, is there an way I can do something similar (I have a PS3). I have no desire to use or install Azureus.

You can share Photos/Videos/Movies from your Mac to your PS3 system, also over Wifi. I'm pretty sure your friend used the same program.

Highly recommend you use PS3 Media Server.

Also, Vuze has a built in UPnP server for sending stuff to the PS3 apparently.

I used to use TVersity when I had a PC but the only hassle free replacement I found that just works is Vuze (Azereus).

I worry about Vuze because it's also a bittorrent client. Even if you are not sharing files it seems to be a hub for transmitting torrent info regarding others who are sharing. This might put you on MPAA and RIAA lists of suspect IP addresses.

PS3 Media Server is the best. I used it within Windows.
