Students are Mac-in' it

    Excellent, winning over the students is important! They are more willing to try something different, and they will probably stay with it if (because) they get at superior experience.

    Well, my sister (also a student) was Mac-in' it, too. Then her MacBook got reaaal slow, kept shutting off, the trackpad button didn't work anymore, the network is messed up and the battery is dead. All that in less than half a year. So now she's sending it in, and is seriously thinking about getting a PC.

    I have quite a few student friends who bought the stock low-end Macbook and have had similar experiences. Well, its about half good half not so good. Luckily mine seems perfect.

    It's a shame really. Apple's product most troubled by quality control appears to be the one that's most popular with students. Bit of a bummer for Apple's business strategy here.

    That's not supposed to happen!
    Apple seems to mess up rev a most of the time, not an excuse of course, just an explanation.

    great article. i notice more and more students, (just like old days) and even small business are basing themselves in macs.
