Stuffit Password - I have been stupid

I have been a little stupid! I passworded some important files (compressed with stuffit) on my old computer (for safe keeping) then bought a new imac and transfered the files across the only problem is I have forgotten the password. Is there a way of getting at the files or are they lost for good?
