In one day, yes ONE DAY, he dropped 4 point in approval and gained 4 points in disapproval. This is the Gallup poll, hardly a right wing push poll. America, welcome back - we will have a get together in early November and the formal party in January !!!

    Wow, thing of beauty :)

You're way too confident, as I told you before. Besides, Obama is not up for re-election this November, Congress is.

And I'm sure he dropped like that because of DADT. People are really pissed about that.

I'm sure you'll post a thread when it swings back the other way.

I honestly didn't realize his approval rating was that good. If it was 46/46 yesterday that's pretty good considering the cluster**** the country is in.

I would rather see a running 14 day average than a 3 day average. It removes more variability in it. A single day drop for an average out of 3 data points does not mean much.

Like Lee says, DADT. He's alienated his support base in one fell swoop there.

Wrong. The dissatisfaction of so many people are a direct reflection of President Obama's and the Democratic majority's policies and failure to deliver on substantive change as promised. They spent a full year on a health care policy that the majority of Americans did not want and literally shoved it down our throats, and only then turned towards the economy. They spent tons of money (by printing money we did not have) for really long lasting jobs-like the 6 months of census workers, or construction that will last a year or two, but then what. I am glad some people got work, but real long lasting jobs in the private sector is what's needed. The government is so blotted and inefficient, creating more public sector jobs just feeds into that inefficiency.

I was referring to the sudden drop, not his overall rating. Seriously folks, can we pay attention before we post? Please?

I do not think "literally" means what you think it means. Unless you had a very different experience with the health care bill than most of us...

While polls change, the difference in this poll is the stunning thing. It is not very often that you see an eight point swing.

So what jobs would be created otherwise? What should President Obama have done to create all these private sector jobs you think that are out there but were stifled by him and the bloated, inefficient government?

By removing the uncertainty that the small businesses that create jobs exist under his policies that how. No one knows what our tax structure is going to look like. No one really knows what the health care changes are going to impact them. With uncertainty, companies are more likely just to stay the course or conserve their reserves, if they have any, and not expand and hire.

My confidence has no bearing on anything. I'm just some blowhard with a taste for Apple Products.

The only anger I hear about DADT is that it may go away. People I'm around support it.

The Bush approval ratings weren't so important. Always dismissed... why is President Obama different?

Oh, I'm sure they do! Where do you live anyway? Alabama? Mississippi?

In case you haven't heard, most people are against it.

But if we get the right people (no pun intended) in to Congress at least they can try to stop him from doing anything else stupid.

Just wait for the reply. Again, you haven't been here long. A lot of us have history.

Since you weren't paying attention in the last thread, I don't expect you to now either.
