After a day or so of perusing the internet for a way to use my iMac to write and send MESSAGES to my friends who have iPhones (to their message app, not the carrier's "text" facility," I've come up with nothing but blanks.

I like typing long responses sometimes and the little iPhone keyboard just doesn't do it for me.

Any suggestions that would allow me to type from my iMac keyboard, have those messages go out as MESSAGES and appear as the same on the iPhones of my buddies?

    Thanks!

May I suggest email for your long responses (you can use email and have it sent to their iPhone as a Text Message). Also, if you have a bluetooth keyboard for your Mac, you can use that to type on your iOS device.

Thanks for your response...I do have an Apple bluetooth keyboard and I have used that. I prefer to use my fullsize keyboard. I wonder why Apple didn't make iMessage "reachable" through its computers.
