    Hi,

    I currently have:

    13-inch, Mid 2010
Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)

and will get upgraded to one of the more recent 15 inch Macbook Pros soon.

Is it possible, to just use the hard drive from my 13inch in my new 15 inch?

Or how would I get the data onto the 15 inch?

    cheers,

    TT

Yes, it will work with the 2011 (early and late) MBPs, if the 2010 MBP has 10.6.8 or Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on it.

MacBook, MacBook Pro: Replacing the Hard Disk Drive, transferring data to the new HDD

    Hi,

    thanks for that!

I was hoping to just place the old drive into the new computer. Do you think that will work?

    thanks,

    Phil

Yes, that will work, as I already have written. I just put the link to the two guides in case you need instructions how to do so.
Maybe I should use Comic Sans more.
