Well hell since this is going to turn into another Bush v. Obama discussion.

Ya got to admit. At least Obama has succeeded in getting most Middle East countries to openly join the actual bombing and flying of planes.

True, since there's an actual threat now, unlike in 03 when Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

So now the U.S. wants to arm and train possible terrorists in a foreign country and GIVE them weapons that are illegal for its own citizens to own???

I’ll say it again, this has been the major problem for US Foreign Policy for decades, it’s the making decisions to solve short term problems, which turn out to have very long term consequences.

You will note that in the Ukraine were the US are not in a leading role, there is a cease fire, and both sides are talking about a lasting peace treaty.

Actually, I'm betting it costs us more. We had to promise these countries something to get on board. We fired 47 Tomahawk missiles the first night.

Maybe I'm trying to find optimism where there is none. But I was caught by surprise at: "The United States, with several Arab nations, rained bombs..."

Could it be that the area is realizing that extremism, Islam-based or not, cannot be tolerated?

Sure there have been harsh words spoken in the past; even action inside their own counties. But carrying out bombing missions with the USA? Color me surprised.

You mean most Middle East countries are blackmailing the U.S. into giving them F-16s and F-15s so they can pretend they're actually participating and so give Obama the political cover required to prosecute Obama's war.

Seen on my Twitter timeline. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and Qatar flew planes bit not all dropped bombs.

Also reports that we used the F22 for the first time.

Thank God we have the multi-billion-dollar F-22 to defend against ISIS's high-technology defenses, all-seeing ISR assets, and their advanced strategic AA missiles. :p

    Strange isn't it.
Wait until those guns start showing up on our streets.
Then there will be a louder cry to disarm law abiding citizens.
Sorry they will change the law to make them criminals.

If people can smuggle stuff so easily from the Middle East to the USA, it's your Customs people you should be worried about.

disagree, we armed them, just like the fast & the furious arms scandal where guns already killed people here.

it was both criminal & STUPID to let guns go across a porous land border. yes I doubt the M-E guns will make it to the U.S, but they will be used against our boys & girls over there. oh, wait, that is why we are now bombing the morons we armed, AWESOME plan.

Man, there's more fallacies in this thread than there are in a philosophy and logical reasoning textbook. Not surprising though.
