Systems with Intel graphics are laggy as heck on Big Sur. Is this also a problem in Monterey?

Systems with intel graphics running Big Sur have a ton of system lagginess it would seem. Disabling automatic graphics switching and running with the AMD graphics 24/7 fixes the issue, but at the cost of battery life. I'm hoping that we will see a full fix of this in Monterey, but my expectations are low since it has been 10 months since Big Sur's release and it's still a problem...

Anyone know if this issue is still present in the Monterey beta?

It’s better than Big Sur, but make no mistake, the GPU just isn’t up to the task. The Iris Pro in my old 2013 15” was a much better GPU...

To be honest, it's not very great even on my latest and greatest Apple computer M1 Mac mini. The widgets area and folders in Launchpad stutters like hell.

Upgraded to Monterey public beta today and I have to admit that it is sooooo much better. Big Sur was a pain in the ass sometimes.

I'm having an M1 MacMini since June and never had graphics problems. It's a beast. Regarding Monterey, I now have public beta 9 and bluetooth problems are gone but I cannot mount anymore an external usb 3.1 SSD neither see it listed in Terminal. Is like completely inexistent. In BS is ok. We shall see.
Back to Big Sur I have it on an MB Pro 13" 2018 and there are no graphical lagginess anywhere, neither typing in Libreoffice which is notably slow. Video card should be an UHD 645. Surely not discrete. I'm surprised about your problems although it's clear that Big Sur is plagued by a lot of drivers' bugs. Hope Monterey will clear all those problems (external displays, usb and bt peripherals particularly. Not pretending such a thing in the first release but as soon as possible considering that M1 machines are the most plagued.
