T-Mobile (UK) & Data Issues!

Hey guys!

Recently switch to t-mobile in preperation for their 4G network.

Yesterday, while on 3G, I attempted to connect to Skype and various other IM apps to no avail. Each time I tried Skype would not log in at all and told me there was a connection issue.

I looked further into the issue and understand that T-Mobile may be blocking the use of VOIP apps over their mobile network? Is this correct? I moved to T-Mobile from O2 and never experienced this problem on O2's network.

If T-Mobile are in fact blocking applications such as VOIP and IM, is there any work around?

I have the same problem if my 3G signal is not strong enough to support Skype.

I'm on Orange/T-mobile
But it does work on 3G when your signal is strong? I was in Central London and had full bars, still didn't work!

So frustrating! :mad:

Yeah it does, I never use the call function on Skype unless I'm somewhere with my Macbook, just because I'm awkward...

So it works on the messaging bit, pictures are a little slow.
