iPod Table of Contents

Hey- the other day i accedentally unplugged my ipod outta my computer without disconnecting first... i talked to the computer tech guy at my high school and he said all the songs are still on there just the table of contents got damaged and the i pod doesnt' know where to look for the songs...

any help will be appreciated...thanks
