I think that the only cure for people who have TDS is to get rid of Trump.

For many people, I believe that they think that the ends justify the means.

Anything that gets rid of Trump is fair game.

Any thinking person should be embarrassed that this country elected an incompetent, amoral TV game show host as president. It’s primarily a Democratic concern only because Republicans appear to have lost their collective senses of shame.

Stealing it by getting more votes? I guess Republicans are just used to winning by getting fewer votes.

She took over the DNC purse. Got debate questions ahead of every one. Glad karma stepped in to give you a dose of what you all deserved

Guess you choose to ignore that Fox also tipped off Trump about their questions too.

Their TDS shields them from acknowledging any Trump shortcoming.

I won't deny that it's worse with Trump just given who he is and the way he acts, but it certainly has happened with previous presidents.

(Not to mention the "birther" nonsense which was its own form of derangement).

She got two topic areas for questions in advance of one forum (not a debate), and the topic areas were so obvious and general than anyone could have predicted that they would be included. Should never have happened, but it did not give her any real advantage.

And the agreement between the Clinton campaign and the DNC that gave the campaign some input over spending and hiring (but did not let her “take over the DNC purse”) applied only to the general election, so it did not give her any advantage in the primaries. The DNC clearly favored Hillary, but there is no evidence that they did anything to give her the nomination. She did not “steal” the election and there is no evidence that she did.

I struggle, mightily, to think of a single think that Donald Trump has done as President that makes me glad.

I guess I was pleased when he fired Michael Flynn as National Security Adviser. But that has to be tempered with the knowledge that Flynn never should have had the job to begin with. Ditto Trump's backing down from war with North Korea: He never should have stoked the situation in the first place.

From his appointments of lunatics, criminals, and hacks to his pardons of Joe Arpaio and others. His blatant corruption and nepotism. His pandering to racists. His reckless tax cuts, and his abrogation of pretty much every significant Treaty and agreement in the last thirty years. His politicisation of our military and our national holidays. His conduct of affairs of state via Tweet.

Trump is a loathsome cancer on America. The sooner he is egested from our national discussion and consciousness the better.

Disliking something or someone that is dangerous and unpleasant is not "derangement." It's a perfectly rational reaction. Call it the disgust reflex brought to the political sphere.

    Run file:

    OrangeManBad.exe;

If something is bad that means that the Orange Man is responsible.

Therefore everything bad that has happened, did happen, or ever will happen is Orange Man's fault.

    Everything.

Its hilarious because this really does explain the behaviour of Trumpsters to the letter. Especially a few notable's who infect this board who would be right at home in The_Donald with their memery and talking points

it's literally the "But I have a black friend!" argument being used here.

it's disingenuous and as flaccid as an 90 year old's libido.

Don't be silly. Nobody was expected to think it a serious source. Urban Dictionary does a pretty good job at showing how slang is currently being used though. It is also way more fun than saying that Charles Krauthammer is coined with developing the phrase in 2017.

"WASHINGTON -- Having coined Bush Derangement Syndrome more than a decade ago, I feel authorized to weigh in on its most recent offshoot. What distinguishes Trump Derangement Syndrome is not just general hysteria about the subject, but additionally the inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences on the one hand and signs of psychic pathology on the other.
