Hi there, first of all my english is terrible, if there are any grammer mistake please bear with me.

My host family decide to put restriction on the wifi router, so after 12, i wont be able to connect the internet with my laptop. However my iphone and blackberry playbook were still able to connect to the internet for some unknown reason.

Is there a way to let me laptop used the wifi from iphone or blackberry playbook?

I tried one way where you used a jailbreak iphone and turn it into a modem, but the problem is, it is using iphone 3G instead of wifi and only the browser are able to get online, i wasnt able to play an online game with that method.

ps: tech advice please, not moral advice or something else that are not related to my question. Thank you.

No, I think you can only tether a 3G connection.

You can make an ad-hoc network with your laptop, but you'd have to have your ethernet connection on and use your wifi card as the router access point.
