Just goes to show the desperate lengths some Americans will go to in order to own a gun. It's rather sad the level of importance that is put on ownership.

I'm interested to see this show starting on channel 4 in the UK, these types of shows tend to be really well made on Ch 4

Has nothing to do with anything other than there will always be people who like DIY projects such as the ones shown. They take pride in building their own.

The fact that you use that expression...especially in this context, speaks volumes about you.

When who comes for me? It wouldn't be useful anyway as I can't shoot one.

Now there's a dog whistle argument if ever I heard one......

You may not have noticed the poster you're responding to's location..... but I live in the same country as them. We have very tight gun control, and I have to be honest, I can't ever remember a situation where in hindsight I though "gosh darn it, I wish I had a gun".

I would put money on it that a vast majority of UK citizens (except maybe some Northern Irish) feel the same. I do remember a time when we did have weapons largely available to the public, and it resulted in the Dunblane Massacre, which directly led to the banning of hand guns in the UK..... And whilst I may have just been a tot at the time, I think you'd be hard pushed to find anyone that thinks that the ban was a bad thing (about from Nigel Farage, who thinks we should be allowed guns, but when he associates with people who think that gay marriage causes flooding, thats hardly a surprise).

Thats not to say a ban would work in the US, you're far too partisan and you have far too many weapons in circulation to ever effectively ban firearms..... but then you all don't seem to mind school massacres etc, so I guess its less of an issue there.

The British monarchy/government learned their lesson with allowing it's citizenry to own weapons. They lost a colony, and slid down the World power ladder. It's okay though we're friends now.

Gotta love a bit of American exceptionalism.

The french had the right idea when it came to their monarchy tbh.

The soldier who was hacked to death a couple of years ago in broad daylight in the middle of the street probably wished he was allowed to carry.
