wish I could agree with you about the Pack but I'm not as optimistic. Rodgers is going to be out now until at least mid-december and by then I think their season will be over. I think the Giants win sunday

What is your reasoning behind Rodgers return date? Rodgers has stated on his radio show thing that the fracture is mostly healed and he feels he will be ready for the Vikings next week, McCarthy has stated that he wants Rodgers to return for Thanksgiving if everything goes to plan...which I believe to be much more likely. Mid-December is way past the heal date for a fractured clavicle.

Additionally, is a press conference either today or yesterday AJ Hawk said he saw Rodgers in the weight room working out without any difficulties.

My reasoning for the Packers beating the Giants is Eli is simply not that good and without a run game their offense is absolute garbage, a lot of my pick for the Packers winning this week rides on Brandon Jacobs playing (Yes playing, I would rather have him run than that other rb, I think his name is Wilson...I could be wrong). Additionally, I expect JPP to be out this game which will be a huge boost for our struggling offense.

EDIT: For the rb I meant Andre Brown...not Wilson.

My picks for this week:

Bengals over Browns, in a blowout

Cleveland have a weak offense but our defense is very good - we are neck and neck with the Bengals in YPG. I doubt we'll ever get blown out this season. I'm predicting a loss but not by more than 17 points.

Although Aaron Rodgers displayed some optimism about returning to the football field as soon as possible (even for late November), it appears that Rodgers will be out until at least December with a fractured collarbone.

Dr. David Chao, in an article for the National Football Post, states that despite Aaron wanting to return to football by Thanksgiving, health concerns for the franchise quarterback will likely make the team hold him back for a couple more weeks. Dr. Chao is a former NFL head team physician with 17 years of experience working with NFL players and their injuries. Per NFP:

Based on injury mechanism analysis, I believe his fractured clavicle (collarbone) to be atypical. It does not seem to be a classic shaft break like the ones sustained by Chargers running back Ryan Mathews last season, both of which required plating surgery. It appears to be a non displaced (in normal place) distal (towards shoulder) clavicle fracture at the acromioclavicular (AC) joint. This type of injury explains his ability to jog off the field and look normal to most people.
Unlike many injuries, his return is not based on pain tolerance or his ability to throw/play. Rodgers needs to be given time for the bone to heal. With repeat trauma, the fracture is likely to displace (move) or comminute (shatter). This would likely lead to season-ending surgery.
Based on my experience, I feel Rodgers has a 4-6 week injury. The risk of rushing back is too great and the Packers medical staff won’t let that happen.
The Packers are in the thick of the division race with the Lions and Bears right now, but it would be foolish to rush Aaron back, even in a tight divisional race. The risk of losing Aaron for the season is not worth the extra game or two he might provide at quarterback. The Packers will have to make do with Scott Tolzien, who should look better than he did last week with a full week of practice with the first team, and Matt Flynn, who has experience with the Packers playbook already.

The Packers will likely rely on its power running game of Eddie Lacy more heavily than before, which also makes Lacy a great pick for this week's Pick 6.

Things will be tough, but we believe in the ability of our guys to hold down the fort until Aaron is able to make his completely healthy return. Go Pack, go!

and both teams seem to have bipolar disorder. ya never who is going to show up for either side. love to see the browns pull this one out though...

A few things to consider:
1) Cleveland is a bottom 10 offense, while the bengals are a top 10.
2) A 3 possession loss in a low scoring game is a blowout.
3) You are in Cincinnati

Yes, because a person in no way related to the incident knows more than the Packers medical staff. The article was actually funny though, reading a person take an absolute stab in the dark and all.

i hope you're right

The lack of consistency for Cleveland is largely due to the fact that we've started three quarterbacks this season. Weeden is a bust, Campbell and Hoyer have both stepped up and done better than expected - but we're still a weak team offensively.

If we accept your definition of blowout, then yes, we could have an A Hebrew Blowout.

A blowout is an easy or one-sided victory.

3 possession advantage in a low scoring game EASILY meets any reasonable person's definition of a blowout.

If the score I'd 70-49 you have a chance at arguing it is not a blowout, most scores less...not so much.
17pts is an amount Cleveland struggles to put up...if a team beats them by more than that it should be considered one sided without a doubt.

...

I saw a bit of Campbell at QB for you guys the other day. he looked pretty solid. He was playing great for us a couple of season ago then he got hurt... enter Carson Palmer... meh!

love to see the brownies have a great season...

nothing against the bengals other than your uniforms and helmet are hideous...this is what you should look like:

Looks like A Hebrew gets his blowout.

Cincy's offense looked poor…they were bailed out by some unlucky and awful turnovers by the Browns.

Boy did he look bad today. He played like the career backup that he is.

As usual the football gods twist the knife and the Steelers win. I'm sure Baltimore will pull it out in CHI to complete the bad day for Cleveland fans.

Raiders win!

All we need to is win out, then the Chiefs to lose tonight, and then lose the rest of their games...
The Broncos win tonight and then lose the rest of their games...

:D
