Am I the only one who's scared ****less about this?

The Ben Franklin quote about giving up essential liberty for security comes to mind here.

Worse, it looks to be backed by corporation and state alike. Which means they will be able to fraudulently sell these concepts to the public without penalty.

Be afraid of this. Be very afraid.

whoa, that's a big read.


i've been meaning to get around to it sooner, but guess i'll have to do this weekend or something.

i haven't read much of it yet, but i just have to say that the internet will never come to a state where it is really closely monitored. and even if it does, that will really only effect the general public, not hardcore users who will just go underground.

now that people have seen how great the internet is, i doubt they'll give it (freedom of speech, ease of obtaining information) up easily.
