The article acts like it's a bad thing that trends can be capitalized on faster than ever now, why do we want big box retailers to be the guardians of what we can buy?

Adapt or die. Case in point the success of Amazon and the decline of Sears.

What most people do not realize these days is that many of the retailers selling on Amazon and eBay are direct manufacturers from China and other parts of Asia . Those people and manufacturers out of Asia do not have the overhead and expenses that American people, corporations and companies have in America . The prices that the people , companies and manufactures out of China and other parts of Asia can retail for on Amazon and eBay are roughly half the price of what Americans and American companies would need to sell their item for on Amazon and eBay . Their wages and expenses are anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of what they are for Americans , American corporations and American manufacturers to sell online in America . Aside from that they do not have to pay income taxes on their profits as they are not American citizens to pay income tax on their sales and net income . While American consumers are very happy today that they are getting a bargain by shopping down the road I reckon that they will pay for this very dearly . Many people lose jobs and income due to these new practices. Right now many people do not realize the effects that this is having on the retail industry . Right now many retail businesses and establishments are going out of business and many people lose jobs due to this. The American people that live in America which so online and never and will not be able to complete with the people who sell online from China and other parts of Asia

and they don't need to fit the laws or safety rules, when they directly ship from China. There was a test on TV here where 5 out of 7 articles bought from Chinese sellers via Amazon didn't meet the EUs safety rules.
They no longer have to discard not proper or safe working items from the production, since they can ship it bypassing the testing offices and customs office.

That is true also. Let's see if Trump addresses this issue as well.
