For all you tech geeks (me included)

A particularly interesting read, sums up the history of technology ever since I became interested in technology. Its good to see quite a few Apple products mentioned.

The internet looked almost retro back then....

I almost wrote a decade review of the tech I came across for my blog, but I imagine everyone did that a couple of months ago.
This is why I keep some of my old PC magazines. It's brilliant just reading through them and their predictions for the future.

Thanks for sharing that! Really interesting to see where things have come!
I remember the PS2 coming out like it was yesterday. I remember exactly where I was when discussing it's release with friends, on the playground at school

Makes me excited to see how far we'll go in the next 10 years!

lol i like the tidbit that instead of buying the original ipod, if you put that in apple stock at the time, you would have nearly $10k

Slightly jealous  Im sure some people did, and have made loads of money.

I can only imagine where technology will be in the future, its scary how fast things have progressed.

Yeah, sure. Registered in 2007. Now you're 22 or 23 ;)

It's amazing all the things that exist today that no one had heard of 10 years ago!

lol. If you are referring to the 20 in my name, its the day I was born. 4/20. I avoid using the 4 because then everyone thinks I am a smoker...

Today's current technology is the retro of the future.

I miss Napster the most from ten years ago. I also miss the the general atmosphere of having something good happening.

Actually, I am sorry. That was over by then. In 1996-7, it was great to have a lighting fast academic internet connection and a few fast computers. To me, it doesn't even seem to be that distant. E-commerce was probably the biggest change.
