I hate to say it, but my money is on Tiger. Not only would it be amazing if he won, but he would've bounced back from that scandal BS.

I am surprised at how well he is playing today. Not sure if he can keep it up through the weekend though.

I was talking about this to one of my (female) friend earlier...

Me: Wow....Tiger Woods is -4.

Her: What's -4? I don't know tennis...

I think I know now what he was doing during his time off. His swing looked rock-solid.

He must have been drowning his sorrows at the range.

At least his game is the one thing he can control in his life.

Freddy Couples was downright impressive today. The guy 50 years old, was wearing sneakers without socks, and is 6 under. Im rooting for Tiger, but I would love to see Fred or Tom Watson win too. This is darn near a dream leaderboard after the first day.

The 16yr old made the cut. :O

I'm curious: is anyone here attending the Masters? I am at the course for all 4 days.

It would be cool to see someone from here in Augusta. (or at least know someone else is here)

P.S.

Cut: +3 (top 44 including ties)
That means that there are now 48 players in the field and 24 pairings. First tee time tomorrow morning is 10:45AM.

I'm pullng for my all-time favorite, Phil. Other than Phil, I am pulling for Choi as well as Westwood and Poulter.

I'd love to see Freddie win it. That would be fantastic for a man of his age to win. Of course, he is already a champion ('92).

^^^ oh wow - I'm jealous! I'd imagine it's not easy to go, even if you're willing to spend a pretty penny to do so.

Gonna be a hell of a finish. I wouldn't mind seeing Phil, Couples, or AK win, but won't be surprised if Tiger wins it again.

Phil Mickelson looks to be the traditional Green Blazer winner here; I am hoping he wins as the more traditional and accomplished American pro!
uh what? more accomplished? phil has 37 wins and 3 majors. there's another guy in the field that has 71 wins and 14 majors. thats slightly more accomplished.

Good! My man Phil took the lead in the 12th - as I said, Mickelson looks to be the traditional and accomplished Green Jacket winner here. Thank God.

While I'd personally rather watch paint dry than watch a game of golf, I want Tiger to win because I prefer "untraditional" people :D
