I caught this when reading the comics:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ts-13-year-old-behave--giving-cigarettes.html

She even has the stupidity to blame the teachers!

I thought the Daily Mail was the crap tabloid that had no real credibility outside of sensationalism.

my "favorite" line was this one:
'We've all got to die sometime. I haven't got cancer from smoking so she'll probably be all right anyway.'

Absolutely shocking that anyone can think like that, never mind bring their kids up in this way.

"Miss Holt blames teachers at Sam's former school for being 'too soft'"

    That's my favourite line. Classic.

    Ha, yeah

The whole thing puts me in mind of Brass Eye, or some equally ridiculous satirical show... if ignorance is bliss then she's one happy woman.

I don't know why, but reading this article put a big smile on my face. It makes me feel really good for some reason.

I can't believe the stupidity of both mother and daughter. Why the (&*(^ would you allow you daughter to smoke, drink and have sex underage?:mad::mad: All she's being set up for is a lifetime of misery. I can't see any future for her except that of a parasite on society. No employer in their right mind would even considers such a person for any job.

And the daughter. She too stupid to see the trap she's fallen into. Good behavior for a reward?:confused: Mum's got you in her back pocket until you can earn some cash to buy your own smokes. With no discipline and a track record like that? Good luck finding cash.

    I definitely agree with this!

Why should parents be responsible for us?
That is why we got to school!

    [/sarcasm]

Damn they both need a talking to.

The only thing she's got going for her is her honesty. But you know what? Think this is a rare event? Think there are not seemingly "perfect" families that raise their kids in completely different destructive ways?
    Man I have stories.

As for this one, "First runner up - Mother of The Year"

    Total failure

I know this girl because I live in the area, the blame here is with the mother, it's her responsibility to discipline her children not the teachers, in fact if the teachers are so soft how come she has been permanently excluded, I hear the social services are now involved to remove the girl from her mothers care, but I guess the money 'mom' got from selling the story to 'Closer magazine. will allow her to buy enough beer to forget about what a total failure she is as a mother.

What do half price sofas and guaranteed Christmas delivery have to do with it?

Either that, or the proceeds from selling the story will go to fighting Social Services in the courts, and doing nothing but (a) delaying her daughter being removed from her care, and (b) wasting public money.
