That thing looks pathetic. At least they are trying.

Oh, trust me, Motorola can achieve FAIL even without needing one.

It's very reminiscent of that rotating phone they had maybe five or six years ago... v7xx something. And it kind of looks like an old-fashioned bathroom scale closed.

But cheers on them for trying to be distinctive. I think there's still a market for truly distinctive, compact, basic phones, but I don't think this phone fits it, either by price or by looks.

At first glance, I thought it was my first AT&T phone by LG (free by the way), my significant other was always using the mirror to put on her makeup...:D

Yeah, thank you -- that's the one I was trying to think of. That one seemed far less elegant in hand than it did in a photograph.

thanks for posting an image. I think the bathroom scale comment is correct now that I look at it haha. What does it have to offer other than being so expenxive? Vertu's are made from like titanium, sapphire crystal glass, have 24 hour concierge, etc. so whats so great about this?

I was referring to the oblong shaped crystal thingy (maybe it only works for me):

And it only takes them to mention 62-carat for rich people to buy it.

I read on engadget that buyers have to sign some sort of agreement to not sell it on ebay.

Rotate phones, oh dear. A college friend had one of them early ones and it was just bad to use. Bad bad bad!

I actually think it looks quite nice... if it were 1/10th or 1/20th the price I may consider getting one :p

And then Motorola wonders why they're failing.

That was my exact thought. More stuff it has, more likely something to go wrong.
