You can fly the plane or dos someone do it for you and you jump out? What kind of plane? Jet or prop? How many mission do you need to do to unlock San Fran?kuyu said:OK, update time:
I'm about 12 hours in, and have unlocked San Fierro (San Fran). There is SO much to do in this game. I decided to make one lap around both cities and time it. I used a goldwing like motorcycle. All in all, 35 minutes!!!
The trucking missions are cool, but my favorite thing to do is get a parachute, steal a plane, and skydive to my destinations. The story is riveting, and has tons of twists and turns.
Mt. Chiliad is HUGE. There is a mountain biking mission on top, and a ramp. It's about a 15 second freefall off the top.
Buy this game. Period. It's that good. Sorry, but this is going to beat Halo 2 and HL2 out for game of the year (I've already bought them both, so don't flame me).
I really disagree - GTA and GTA2 were great games in their own right, but GTA 3 was simply revolutionary, not only for the series but for gaming in general. This is juts my opinion of course, but GTA3 was definitely the highlight of the series for me, and one of my favorite games of all time. Of course, I love epic, huge games, and obviously some people do not, which is fair enough.neoelectronaut said:Grand Theft Auto peaked at 2.
I played 3, but it got rather boring after say...an hour or so.
I just figured it out on how to get in. Do you know where is the military base and does it have a fighter jet? When I entered San Fierro(banned area at the moment), I got 4 wanted stars and they sent out a fighter to shoot me down in both the prop and learjet. when a missile hit me on the prop where it hit me I lose that gear, for example a missile hit my right wing and I loss the right flap. The learjet is harder to shoot down since it is so darn fast, and nothing breaks after being shot.kuyu said:In response to the two questions:
1) I've been playing CS:S some, but I suck at it. I really just want to play HL2. It does look and feel amazing though!
2) Airplanes: Both!!! You can buy plane tickets at Juank Air and ride from city to city. Or, if you like, you can fly a dodo (with wings this time) and a learjet. However, in the San Fierro airport I saw a P-51 Mustang (WWII fighter), and what looks like a DC-9. While flying you push triangle and he jumps out. You can steer him while in freefall and while parachuting. Make sure you have a chute before getting in the plane though!!!
***Hint: Go to the tallest building in Los Santos and get on top (there's a yellow arrow at one entrance). Grab the chute on top. Get back down. Drive to the airport's pilot entrance, on the north side of the airport. The guy will say you need a pilot's license to enter. Park your car next to the guard station, jump on top of it, then climb on top of the station. Now you're in the airport. There's a dodo right there and a learjet at the west end of the northern most runway. Enjoy!
