    Anybody see this film?

What did you think about it?

I thought the piece on the Federal Reserve was very enlightening, and a bit scary. The film outlining Obama's broken promises on ending the Iraq war, removing lobbyists from the White House and his stance on the Patriot Act/torture left me feeling discouraged. Your thoughts?

I live under a rock so I've never heard of it. I'm going to have to see if Netflix has it. However, you do realize that there are few presidents that I've seen elected in my time that weren't accused of deception. I'm going to be surprised if we see another president ever again that actually lives up to everything they said they stood for during their campaign. I'm not delusional enough to believe that this is just life.

We've discussed this before and came to the conclusion that it's just a bunch of hokey conspiracy theory crap. Similar things were done about Bush and even the most liberal of us said the same. Stuff like this is the same as reading the National Enquirer and thinking it's true.

Yeah, the NAU and the Amero, two of the dumbest conspiracy theories to date. I lose any respect for anyone who posts that garbage.

Well, the National Enquirer did break the John Edwards story. Remember...just because it's a conspiracy doesn't mean the government isn't really out to get you.

I think the video is kooky regarding the New World Order. Some points are really looney. However, the video does bring up some really good and scary points about the power the banks have over the government and society. It is a scary thought.

I agreed with the comparison of Obama and Hitler, in the sense both are very charismatic personalities. That can be a very dangerous trait. Oh well, I guess I understand where some of the Tea Party members are coming from. :)

REALLY? Wow. Well in that case, you must also agree that Reagan and Hitler were very similar as well.

I remember those guys back in the 80's claiming Reagan was The Antichrist
I remember the ones in the 90's claiming Bush Sr was the head of the Illuminati and Skull and Bones society.
I remember the ones in the late 90's claiming Clinton killed hundreds of people when he was governor of Arkansas to hide his real political goals.
I remember the guys saying Bush Jr was going to seize control of the country after his term ended and proclaim himself king.
And I've even heard the stuff about Obama being a "secret Muslim"

Some things never change do they.

That's a great point. Good thing presidents have term limits. I'm more fearful of the followers.

Well, both Bushes, as well as John Kerry, and a bunch of people who aren't politicians are members of the Skull and Bones society. I figure it's a frat for really rich people.

That's my thinking as well, as was that the impetus for my thread in Political Discussion. I can't understand the overwhelming indifference from the folks in here. This is something the American public, liberal or conservative, has to get behind and solve urgently.

Instead, the responses in this topic seem centered on political bickering without discussing any real, pressing issues. I also don't understand the lack of rage towards Obama's broken campaign promises. I cried tears of joy when he won the presidency, but he's not living up to his promises. This is sad, very sad only. :(

Oh trust me, there's plenty of rage. But until we can get the two political parties to work together, nothing will happen. What you're seeing right now is not indifference, it's the realization that until we vote out just about every incumbent we have, we're stuck. The Democrats have conceded everything to the Republicans. We all worked hard to make them the majority and they f***ed us because they're bunch of cowards. The Republicans have simply become a bunch of brainless a**holes.

So now what? We have to wait til November to send them all a message- Republicans AND Democrats. That's when you'll see the rage- election day.
