Hey, since the true meaning of Christmas is getting the stuff you want, we might as well have a thread devoted to it, right? If you feel like sharing, post the cool stuff you got here.

-Gray slacks, which I've needed for over seven months now, as I got a red shirt for my birthday, but had no gray slacks to wear them with.
    -Blue button-down shirt
    -Kensington BlueTooth mouse
-A fern from my sister (I love house plants)
-Shoe wax and brushes with which to shine my shoes
-A t-shirt from my aunt commemorating Leonardo da Vinci
    -A couple of neckties
-A road kit (got that awhile back when I needed jumper cables)
-A brown and black reversible belt
-A Bible, NASB version. Now I have a formal-equivalent (NASB), formal-equivalent vernacular (NIV), and functional equivalent (NLT).
-A beautifully printed copy of The Polar Exress for my sister and I

Assorted cash, and the standard assortment of candy in my stocking.

    Nice thread.

Well, the thing I needed most, a vacuum, was my "big" gift. It's a nice Hoover Fold-Away upright vacuum, cobalt blue in color. Very nice looking.

    I also got:
-A Superman fabric text book cover.
-The first Superman movie (with Christopher Reeves) on VHS.
-A DVD of the old Superman cartoons.
-A signed copy of Superman #204 (signed by Jim Lee, the artist).
    -A Thai food cookbook.
-A mini bottle of Kahlua in my stocking, along with some candy and fancy pens.
-The new Nas "Street's Diciple" double album.
    -A plastic cheese grater.
    -Oven mits.
-Some BBQ skewers (for shish kabobs).
    -Assorted cash

I'm expecting more loot at some relatives I am visiting. I hope I get some more cash, I am so broke from Christmas shopping for others!

    Merry Christmas/Happy holidays to all!

    I got:

    $100 Cash
    A timex watch

Usually my parents just give us a 'family gift,' something we can all use. This year it was

X-Box (I know, I know :p) with 3 games (Indiana Jones: Emperor's Tomb, Amped and DDR Dance Mix - which is for my sisters  ) and a Ping Pong table for the cottage

.. and can't forget the candy in the stocking.

It's weird though, this year I've kind of matured and realized that Christmas isn't all about presents anymore. I'd rather just spend time relaxing with friends and family... but mainly my girlfriend :D Does this happen to all teenagers? I'm turning 16 in 20 days :)

    Anywhere but here
I didn't get anything meaningful this year for Festivus. I did however get my lcd scratched ipod photo replaced by a new one from Apple. Thankfully there was something else wrong with it besides the scratches.

Now to find a new case that won't scratch it like my evo2 did.

    $300 from the fam
    120 GB external HD
    Best Buy gift card
    Trash can

EDIT: I bought a Targus USB powered laptop cooler for my 12" PB. I would recommend this to anyone. When I started folding@home on my PB, my fan would be on 24/7. With the coolpad, though, the fan cuts on and off, which should lengthen the life of my PB's internal fan. I guess I'll count that as a Christmas present.

    Oh I don't know ... a Starbucks giftcard, a Nordy's giftcard, socks ...

What I'm really excited about is the Roomba I bought my parents! The battery's charging right now. As I expected, they had no idea what it was ("Is this one of those chairs you inflate?") but soon they will grow to love it. :D

    back in NYC!
This has been (by far) the best/most profitable Christmas I've ever had:
    • $1600
      • I know... this sounds overboard. $1000 from my grandparents who are big investors and have heard alot about how I've started to get into investing, and wanted to reward my persuits. I still can't believe that they gave me a thousand bucks. That is just insane. I am so grateful.
      • My mom decided that it would benifit me more to give me money rather than a bunch of small gifts, so she gave me $500, which is $300-$400 more than I expected.
      • $100 more from my aunt who lives out of state. She said that she had no idea what to get for me so she'd let me decide.
      • I'm so grateful for all this money. Seriously, I've never gotten anything NEAR this much money in one sitting. Plus, I've made about $75 of profits from selling WoW boxes on eBay recently.
    • 2 shirts
    • tea
    • roach poison
      • my mom is a progressive, liberal, tree-hugging hippie, and I've been pushing her to get roach poison for years. She finally gave in :p.
    • Bjork - Vespertine.
      • I already know most of the songs on this CD, but I love Bjork, and don't have this CD, so I was very happy
    • A nice ball-point pen from Sharper Image
    • 3 books. A fantasy book, a stock investing book (fancy that :)), and an Asian cooking book.
    • Beef Jerkey
      • This falls under the same catagory of roach poison, my Mom hates processed food, and calls beef jerkey 'poison covered'.. First time I've had beef jerkey in years. Love that stuff.

My grandparents are in town, we are having a blast, and Christmas has been great.

I'm very happy right now, to say the least.

Got exactly what I asked for. A lot of money that helps pay for my trip to Egypt. Grandparents added more money to the college fun which secures me if I ever do the 10 year plan, but I am allowed to take a out a nice chunk and invest it. And a Sport Illustrated Swimsuit calendar.

I got some socks and underwear, as well as 2 shirts. I'll aalso be getting money, which I'll put toward my PoweBook I've been savin up for for months. I want to wait until MWSF, but I pretty much have enough money now. I'm starting to wonder if I should continue saving if January 11th doesn't turn out a new PowerBook. Oh well, merry Christmas everyone!
