I'm currently with T-Mobile, on Magenta Max, with a 13 Pro Max. I was going through the preorder steps for the 14, and thought about trading in my 13 Pro Max to take advantage of the $1000 trade in value from the Special Carrier Deals. I usually pay my phone in full. I've noticed there's no way to get the $1000 trade in value unless I finance the phone. Doesn't matter what selection I make, I can only get $720 trade in value for the 13 Pro Max as long as I'm paying for the new phone in full. Does that seem correct? Or am I missing something here?

That seems correct. They want people to sign up for their financing, and they're offering incentive to do so.

Yea, thought it was a bit strange because last year Tmobile, probably other carriers too, also had similar promo for the 13. In addition to the Apple trade in value, we got something like $500 credit via 24 months bill credit from T-Mobile, but it doesn't require us to finance the phone.

Can I order a iPhone on my Apple account have it shipped to me with AT&T installment plan if the AT&T installment main user is not under my name or address but I have authorized access ?

Or will it be shipped in my family member's name and address ?

Who is better to order from Apple or AT&T as well ?

Yes. If you buy an iPhone on an AT&T (or any carrier) installment, they will usually verify account owners credentials with a phone number, SSN and maybe a passcode.

To my knowledge (and admittedly, I'm not entirely certain), they usually will have it shipped to the account owner's address when it's an installment plan.

Do you know if this only on Magenta Max, and if phones traded in need to be paid off?

Financing locks you in and makes sure you don’t take the new phone an bolt after getting your credit. Some apportion it out each month.

Also the carrier doesn’t have to pay the entire credit if you want to get another device before the term is up. They save money and you pay off the device. 36 months is a joke.

The $1000 trade in value is only available if you have Magenta Max plan and also financing the new phone. I would imagine the phone being traded in has to be paid off, but not sure.

The $1000 is a trap. If it’s for 24 payments and you decide to get the iPhone 15 when it comes out that $1000 just became $500.

They are actually offering $705 instant trade in credit, and then $295 will be credited over 24 months, so roughly about $12.30/month. Still a trap. 😆

That’s not bad. When I did it with Verizon a while back it was evenly split over 24 payments. It’s annoying if you want to upgrade early.

So if you pay off the phone early, you don’t get all of the credits? I was wondering about this as well. As in what’s to stop me from taking the deal and then turning around and paying it all off at once.
