    Hi-
Having an issue where I can't empty my trash. I get this error: The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003). I've run the following command: rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

Also done a restart. Still get the error and the command does not work. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Secure Empty Trash fixes your woes 99% of the time, even for locked files.

I'd boot to your OS X disc and then try running that Terminal command.

Yeah I'll give that a try. On that note, I'm curious as to how one will go about doing actions such as this when Lion is only available in digital form. Am I missing something?

I'm having that same issue, but its with my iPhoto library. When I try to copy it to my external drive, I get that message halfway through.

If its related, I have to rebuild my thumbnail caches every time I launch iPhoto.
