I got to try out the iPhone 12/Pro models in store briefly yesterday. For such a subtle design change (basically the sides just being flat instead of rounded and bulbous), I never expected such a huge difference in feel of the device. The 12 series really feel so much nicer in the hands than the X, XS, and 11 series imo. It’s hard to understand from people just telling you about it, but it does make a big difference once you hold it yourself in person.

For me, it isn’t any more comfortable and arguably a bit worse (if your grip is tight, the corners can get slightly uncomfortable over time).

But it feels like a significantly more premium device and looks better IMO.

For me it's (finally !) the disappearance of the slim plastic bezel around the screen, a constant source of manufacturing variance frustration, that makes the iPhone 12 look and feel ten times better.

It's a matter of personal preference, I guess. After two weeks with the 12 pro, I very much prefer the rounded design of the 11.
I’m the same here - I prefer the rounded edges but am okay with the squared off ones. My new 12 Pro has the same connectivity of my X which was great and it is zippy fast. My only negative is that the weight is noticeably more. Still happy with it though.

I'm one of the few who also likes the feel of the older X, XS, 11 Pro series devices.

I don't really notice it until I pick up my wife's older XS - when I do it's an immediate feeling of "This is better". The device is just that little bit more 'one-handed' and I love the curvature of the screen. Swiping and gestures just feel that much better. While I really am enjoying the leather case, it makes the flat bezels on the 12 Pro appear to be that much bigger.

There's a small part of me that wants to return my 12 Pro and get either the 11 Pro or possibly a Mini. Although I'd prefer to keep the device with 6GB of RAM, MagSafe and 4x better drop protection. Once I trade in my Wife's XS I'm sure I won't think of it again.
