I was wondering if anyone could explain this. A few days ago, I was peacefully surfing MR when my iBook's screen suddenly went black. Now, it was black, but on-black; that is, the color black that the screen shows WHILE ON. The apple was also on full-strength. I tried everything to get it back to normal, the spacebar thing, shutting it and opening it, mousepad, brightness control, everything. I hit the power button and it restarted. Now, today, it's done it twice. Does anybody know why? Am I being stupid? Is it a newbie mistake?

is this an iBook G3 or what?

more deets could possibly help get you a fix.

iBook G4, 1.07 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 30GB HD, 10.4.2. No problems before this, and it's only a year-ish old. Battery was like 70% I think.
