It seems most people in here have accepted the assumption that the resolution of the new iPhone will be 1136 x 640 since it would be a natural expansion of the current model which is 960 x 640. This is, of course, assuming that the rumours of a taller 16:9 iPhone are true. To me that resolution seems an odd one to pick. Granted it will make the current apps easier to convert but that shouldn't really need to be a crucial point. Here's my guess: the new iPhone will boast 1280 x 720 pixels making its PPI slightly larger than the 4/4S. It would make sense in so many ways, like Full HD movies being easier to scale down on the screen and it being a standard resolution on many monitors. What do you guys think?
