Hi all, as the title says, I can't seem to hear the song in its entirety. It plays fine on itunes. I downloaded the song off of limewire and i could sync it to the ipod touch, but when I actually play the song off of the ipod, at around 21 seconds it gets choppy and stops playing. I even clicked the "convert to AAC" option and still no luck :(

Any help is much appreciated guys

The same thing used to happen when I tried to play "Eau d'Bedroom Dancing" by Le Tigre on my iPod. Yeah, the file's corrupt. You'll need to get a hold of another.

To explain in a little more detail...

iTunes and iPods use different decoding software to read MP3s. It appears that iTunes is a little more lenient towards damaged files, whereas your iPod is struggling. As mentioned by others, the best solution is to purchase a legitimate copy either on CD or from a licensed download service.

Hate to be a bastard but I downloaded "Love it when you call" by The Feeling, and it's never worked. About 19 seconds in, it just cuts and goes to the next song. On iTunes it's fine, on my iPod, it isn't.

I got a new iPod, tried it on that, even then it didn't work. I downloaded like, 10 different versions from limewire, and two worked.

Not to politically angle this thread, but...

Try saying that to the RIAA and the court. Not likely to work for them, eh?

Therein lies the problem. Don't get it illegally, and you're more likely to be grand. I've had a total of 2 out of around 400 songs DOA from iTunes (And it was due to network problems on my side)

Absolutely agree. But this is opinion, no?

So, in sum, go support your favorite Gangsta' (I presume thats the style of the music, based on the name) and buy their damn CD. Or, better yet, pick up a real artist's CD or download some music on Jamendo.

No, you didn't. You tried downloading at least 10+ COPIES of the same corrupted file of the same song.

I'd say if you are going to take the free/illegal way out, maybe borrow it from your local library and just rip the bloody thing. But then, I'm guessing this music doesn't show up there, eh?
