    To get two groups:
    A) First group will be anti-Islam, and they'll say that it was good to target Muslims.
    B) Second group will be against the program, will argue with group one, and will just in general hate the idea that they're being watched.

In other words, he wants to start an argument.

The NSA spies on everyone equally. We are just objects.

perhaps we should all start caring when they start to spy on Muhammad Ali, Cat Stevens, and Michael Jackson.

    Yes, all Muslim.

And I agree with the 'wanting to start an argument' slant.

Don't forget the 8-12 million that were forced to flee their homes.

To put that in perspective that's like 1/3 of the USA having to relocate from their homes because their hometown/state is a war zone.

This cluster**** is decades from being over, regardless of any troop presence.

    Just wanted to update y'all.

Thankfully CNN picked up the story as well as NY Times.

Usually CNN likes to brush these stories under the carpet like it never happened.

    Here's the video for y'all.

    And that's usually the answer....

Cat Stevens was refused entry to the U.S. because he was on a "watch list".

To try and get as many people as possible to learn what's going on this country. In this case, the fact that 5 Muslims who are US citizens were spied upon by the NSA for no apparent reason outside the fact they were Muslim. I believe Americans should know about it.

And where were you with the warrantless wiretapping that was going on in this country in the 2000s against US citizens where religion didn't matter?

If you were complacent back then, then your hypocrisy is showing now.

Umm, did you read the article? This spying occurred starting in 2006 and ended in 2008.

You bring up a good point. I love how with democrats and republicans, they believe that everything bush does is bad and everything obama does is good.

You just assumed this was done under the obama administration and started getting defensive.

You didn't even know this was under the bush administration.

If you had, I bet you would have called foul right away.

And that's the thing about R and D, no one cares about the issues. They just care about their party regardless of what they are doing!!!!

Exactly. So why you bring it up now and go after this administration while being completely quiet about it in the previous one is completely hypocritical.

Where was your being up in arms about it back then? I certainly was.

The catch 22 would be if they actually found something big ...... Then what?

Then I owe Bush an apology for blaming him. Until then, it's a problem.

And let me address another point. Does anyone care about the actual issue or is this just about D or R?

No one seems to really care about the issue. I have said over and over again I will blame Bush and Obama, doesn't matter to me, what is wrong is wrong.

Seems like most people are just concerned about their party and not the issues.
