Yet another article quoting Woz criticizing Apple in order to generate hits on their site
    What a shock

Siri handles real world stuff pretty well for me
But I have to say, I have never had a need to ask it random knowledge questions about prime numbers and such
I don't want or need it to be a lifeline on Who Wants to be a Millionaire
I just need it to work in real life, and it does what I need

I wouldn't see this site needs hits. This is one of the biggest newspapers here in Australia.

    ----------

Your lucky anywhere but the US is missing 80% of the features in Siri so it's borderline useless.

I can confirm it is one of Australia's biggest papers. It is so big it is barely readable on the train.
This quasi liberal broadsheet is moving its website to a user pays model, while slashing thousands of jobs.
Anyway the highest circulation newspapers in australia are the Murdoch tabloids.

I can't comment on this Siri thing as i don't own a iphone yet.

Siri, why do Woz and others think he's still relevant?

You said "newspaper". They are all bleeding money. Even one of the biggest ones in a relatively small population like Australia. Definitely fishing for hits.

The question remains, why has Siri been dumbed down? Why is it incapable of dealing with queries it could before?

A very unique thing about Wozniak is that he's neither affected by, nor cares about, the whole Jobs-initiated Apple RDF thing. It just doesn't exist to him.

Good thing, too. If Woz hadn't been willing to put up with a certain money-hungry backstabbing smelly bum, there'd be no Apple for people to praise or complain about... and no related forum here to post debates in :)

I agree, just another ploy to get ppl to their site, etc. I do not think he would do something like this, but then again I do not know him personally.
