I guess there are quite a few people interested in (or actually earning a living as a professional in) film editing on these forums, so I figured this Fresh Air interview with Thelma Schoonmaker, Scorsese's Favorite Editor might of interest. Thanks for the link, I'm surprised nobody has replied to this thread or recognize it...Scorsese is one of my favorite directors along with Schoonmaker as the editor.

she saved Casino, in my opinion and her work on Bringing out the Dead is remarkable.
