    http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-bl...-more-evidence-trump-wants-to-lose-to-clinton

I just read this op-ed, and it's got me thinking as it's the best explanation so far as to why Donald Trump would purposely want to lose the Election (although I'm sure he wants to make it look like it was a close race with Hillary).

The creation of a new conservative media empire….. all under the Trump brand. Wow. Actually, it's sheer genius. The timing could not be more perfect…. the ouster of long-time Fox boss Roger Ailes leaves a vacuum in the leadership of the conservative network.

Brent Budowsky is a Team Hillary shill, a shill in the literal sense. He is deceitful. Funny how with the major lies being exposed today—and with Hillary being made to look the utter incompetent, moronic fool and totally unfit to be POTUS—Budowsky isn’t reporting on that, instead he is misdirecting to fiction about “Trump conservative media empire.” I have called that guy out previously there, where he actually replied to my comments and I bitch-slapped him around again. He’s a lying Hill-bot joke.

Even if he was a shill, the theory actually makes some sense! If I was The Donald…. it's what I'd dream of.

Salary as POTUS? Pure garbage. The work involved? Brutal and thankless.

In contrast, salary and perks as the Top Conservative Media Mogul of the USA? Immense. Donald could literally be the next Rupert Murdoch. He would also have a guaranteed cult-like following of tens of millions of angry right-wing Americans, and the following lasts well beyond one election cycle. Even Apple would be jealous of the cult-like loyalty of these conservative viewers.

It doesn’t make any sense; it’s pure fiction. Trump has been wanting to be POTUS for years: the ultimate boss. Brent Budowsky is a habitually-lying Hill-bot shill who is trying to deflect attention away from the biggest and most pathetic clown in the 2016 race: Hillary Clinton.

One of his interviews, long ago, he said he would only run if it got really bad. Too bad it took this long for people to see just how bad things would get.

Brent “Hill-bot Shill” Budowsky: “I know that you have been reading FBI-related stories today at The Hill and elsewhere online, showing that Hillary either is the biggest lying piece of **** or the most incompetent, idiotic moron ever, but vote for Her anyway because ‘Trump isn’t serious.’” [wink nudge]

It's plausible - in the sense of being somewhere in the realm of possibility. But it doesn't seem very likely. Running for President as the foundation of a business empire seems likely a pretty high-risk proposition. And you only have to look at the recent career of Sarah Palin to see the limited upside.

I think the simplest explanation for Trump's comically bad campaign is the reality that Trump suffers from the mental and psychological deficiencies that have characterized his entire life. He's a narcissistic psychopath. A man who ignored the advice of everyone from casino experts; financial analysts; and airline executives on the way to bankrupting several hotels, casinos, and driving the Trump Shuttle into oblivion.

There is already a Conservative media empire. It's called Fox News. And it earns News Corporation a billion or so in profits every year. It's also facing a future where it's aging audience is the least desirable demographic amongst advertisers, and whose content is literally unsaleable anywhere except for US cable packages.

Trump is running a bad campaign because Trump is a bad manager.

What would that have to do with anything? Is it hard to think that some can be doing well while others aren't?
    --- Post Merged, Sep 3, 2016 ---
Interesting that you think it's a bad campaign. Looks like he's won 100% of the time so far. In fact, hasn't he got more votes than anyone else ever in the party?

He's going against a system that favors the Dems as the nation is changing quickly. The old America might be gone and Trump will probably be the last GOP to have a chance. Next stop will be civil war as the nation is far too divided to be repaired.

lmao. There's not going to be a civil war. That's lunacy talk.

The vast majority of Americans don't even give a **** about the election. Less than half the voting-age population will even vote.

True. They care more about the final votes for the VMAs.

That's why America needs a divorce.
    --- Post Merged, Sep 3, 2016 ---
This is probably a good thing, do we really want these people to vote?

They upside is that Trump is exciting, Hillary is boring, who do you think a VMA voter would rather watch?

Maybe Trump should make the US a gameshow, then he'd win 100% of the vote :D

What exactly does that mean? Is that a veiled reference to white nationalism and the Alt-Right Movement to keep America white?

Did you see something racist in there? Do you see racism in everything? This is about simple math, the system can't be supported. Even the latest reports show that the Fed can't move on rates. We're stuck in a < 2% growth pattern for the foreseeable future. It's done, we can't get out of this using what they use.

Give me a break. Using phrases like "The nation is changing quickly" and "the Old America is gone" are commonly found in discussions about the GDP. On top of that, you're even contradicting yourself, how can the nation be changing quickly and stuck at the same time for the foreseeable future?

Trump spending very little on TV advertising does sound like he's not really even trying. Sounds more like he wants to spend the campaign budget on rent to his own company than waste it on TV ads.

Everyone always seems to say or ask why anyone would want to run for public office, given what they endure. Granted, everyone says anyone who runs for office is doing it for their ego. People have said this long before Trump ever ran...

But that doesn't answer your question.

Circumstantial evidence has given some people the notion that Trump was planted by Clinton since they're like good friends and attended weddings and he's donated to her foundation (while the people who say that also ignore how businesses often donate to both major political parties, which then suggests any number of things, probably none.)

But keeping in mind Scalia and Ginsberg were the best of friends when not doing their jobs, for which they were polar ideological oppposites, for anyone to assume Trump is a plant because they saw a photo of him and her smiling at a wedding -- where's my morning box of Froot Loops with Pecans because this is nuts?

However, it is more likely Trump is wanting to change his mind, now having a taste of actual experience in what this field, being a public servant, is supposed to be like.

Here's another crackpot theory: He's waiting until closer to election day, when it will remain fresher in people's minds. Have people not noticed the number of people over the years who increasingly claim attention spans and memories are getting shorter?

Then what is Hillary's excuse for trying to lose the election :) ?

A fairly general statement. Care to elaborate how we are doing better than ever ?

I believe that he only ran to prop Hillary up. He does not want to be president at all. I bet at the end of this he will tell the Republicans that he showed them what their party is really all about.

What you call exciting, I call crazy. But even if it were mere excitement, I like my nuclear missiles boring. I'll take boring. Things go boom when things are exciting.

Not even factually correct. Just ask the "stupid" people of Iowa.
