Denial, denial, denial. Their minds are so misguided the only thing that will change them is when they're looking at the dead body of one of their own loved ones.

There is a remedy built into our system: amend the Constitution and repeal the 2nd Amendment.

The NRA has nothing to do with any gun violence, let alone mass shootings by mentally-deranged individuals. But please continue the ******** talking points because it's going to make the 2016 election even better for Conservatives. :)

I find it quite telling that there is not a peep from the left after Obama's missiles killed over 20 people in a ****ing hospital.

Will the left start picketing Toyota and Jim Beam offices after any multi-vehicle fatalies? Hmm?

Private gun ownership (especially our awesome semi-autos) is never going away. Deal with it.

Lol, it's adorable how conservatives still think they have a remote chance at the White House in 2016. I guess denial is "in" this season.

Democrats will just keep electing hypocrites (and eventual criminals) like Leland Yee. Don't forget this gem:

When guns are regulated even a tenth as much as automobiles and liquor, we can talk.

As it stands now, there are actually laws banning government research of gun violence.

    I love Irony.
you wanted a written post on the other thread & never bothered to address it.

I will entertain you , again, because I like you

    1. depends on the state.
    2. different cultures.
    3. anything over 2 people shot is a mass shooting, gang members often travel in groups and are the targets of other gang members. don't you just love Chicago with their strict laws?
    4. oh look, someone using numbers to their advantage like you guys use them as well.
5 "somewhere in the chain of custody:", HOW do they know it was from the gun show IF there was no way to track it?
you are happy to jump to the conclusions that suit you but cry when others do the same.

Until the childish name calling goes away there will never be reasonable discussion on the topic. Many in PRSI are 50+ but act like 4 year olds throwing insults and names towards someone they don't agree with. Why would anyone want to have a civil debate/discussion with someone like that?

ha, they come in spitting in your face by claiming the "blood is on YOUR hands" blah blah blah, but YOU are the one who doesn't want to "compromise" or "talk about it".

Indeed it does, and that's a problem because our state borders are totally artificial. Unlike country borders, there is no checkpoint at state lines. Thus, it is effectively impossible for state laws to deal with gun trafficking.

I disagree. I think Australia is more like the USA than any other country in the world. They're more like us than Canada even. The country is about the same size, has about the same GDP per capita (more even), has about the same range of climate, and has about the same immigrant composition; all in all, it has the same living circumstances as we do. We both mostly have a common-law legal system, both have a democracy, both are mostly a service economy; so our governments are similar. There are differences too, it is landlocked and on the different hemisphere.

Look no further at how much Australian culture we import here. How many popular actors and actresses today are Australian? Look at cars - they love big-blocks and Harleys almost more than we do.

I don't think the fact it's a gang-related shooting makes it any less sad or the lives lost any less important. Multiple deaths are still multiple deaths.

Numbers are fun. Let's study them some more to understand them better. Except we can't, because the NRA successfully lobbied congress to ban government funded research of gun violence, so instead we get biased NRA-funded research or anti-gun funded research, which the opposite side will never trust regardless of results.

Good point. There should be a way to track it.

Says the guys who posts two-word answers and animated gifs in response to nearly anything.

As if "different cultures" is an actual answer and would be acceptable in any level of debate.

Perhaps it's the decades of thousands of needlessly dead Americans and continued massacres.

I think that may have sapped us of some of our patience.

But you're right. It's really your feelings that matter here.

I agree the NRA is not directly responsible for gun violence. like arms dealers are never responsible for the killings the guns they peddle. They responsible for no gun control and anyone and their dog being able to freely buy guns. they are the legal arms dealer of the us. they are lobbyists and they pay to get their way across. We actually try to prevent car deaths we do not try to prevent gun deaths. People have proven that owning a gun does not stop crime and causes far more deaths and shootings then it prevents. Don't worry soon america will look like Afghanistan to the rest of the world.

1.when I take the time to give you a worthy response, you guys simply ignore it.

    2. here.
OUR society/culture is broken in many ways, we have teens using media to coordinate attacks , worthless fecal matter that steal oxygen & plans on school shootings, not one or 2 crazy SOB's but up to 4 POS mother F'ers at a time. generations of kids pumped up on Ritalin & Aderall just to name a few drugs because OMG, they had ADD/ADHA or some other form of invented mental disease & must be pumped up full of drugs because that is so much easier than mom or dad spending time with their kids & helping them out, kids don't understand school? screw it, give him some legal amphetamines & watch him rise, every time there are test at school the sales of aderall surge 3-5 per pill and you can get as much as you like, it is the "limitless" pill, the "Lucy" pill & stupid kids under stress don't know any better. mom works, dad works & playstation with grand theft auto is watching your kids while they are high on legal amphetamines , we have a stupid worthless POS jerry springer society that loves/craves instant gratification through social media, stupidity is glorified here in the U.S, the crapdashians/miley cyrus & lady caca are mother ***** role models , world star hip hop allows you to be internet famous, just video your crime & upload it "put them in a coffin".

males/females with nothing better to do than crime in hopes of being the next crapdashian/teen mom/slut or thug of the week.

you guys want more laws because you suffer from the same instant gratification syndrome when our problems happen to be much deeper.

Jerry Brown had good points .
it is not just our criminal system that needs reform, so does our educational one, so does parenting , American culture needs to pull it's head out of its freaking rear end, there is little to no compassion/empathy towards others, lets pull out our f' ing phones & record someone being robbed/beat/rapped so that WE can break the news & have views on our channel.

a deep look at our actual problems will help before we simply decide to create new stupid laws that turn everyone into a criminal & places them on a system that screws them for life w/o a shot at redemption.
