My iMac G3 when I turn it on it dosn't work I get a frozen mouse and my desktop backround appears but nothing else. This iMac is running 9.1. The strange thing is that when I put in the Mac OSX cd is the only time it will boot I'm not holding "c" so I don't see what is going on.

This would have been better on the board Mac Help and Basics. Just so you know in the future.

So, you can't reinstall the OS?

Seems like an OS problem to me.

Does it have FireWire? Reinstall OS X that way.
