This is why the Alabama Supreme Court Justice said that the First Amendment should only apply for Christians...

What is with all these monumental erections? Keep that stuff in private, where it belongs.

Part of me laughs at the idiocy of the debate, but the waste of time, resources, and human interaction saddens me. Forget all these statues and crap. Build a ruggedized, all-weather telescope for the public, with an inscription at the head of the instruction tablet that says, "see for yourself".

I like the telescope idea, but the problem is what people imagine they see. There's a deity hiding behind that planet! :p

    Golden calf = bad.
Statue of your favorite fantasy Christian deity = approved.
Statue of your favorite Satanic deity = denied.
Who is holding the reigns in this secular country?
    ;)

In some cases, a single observer is delusional while a mass of observers get religion. :D

I agree with the separation of Church/State concept, but I appreciate that this will not prove a point and there is no chance Satan appears as a statue in Oklahoma

    I agree with you.

A good example of human hypocrisy based on the standard of separation of church and state.

    Right!?

By far my favorite debate was over the big carved statue of the ten commandments, when read, says, "thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image".

    Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. :D
