and have ultimately tried to reach a happy medium where you are not completely wrecking your lungs... do you have a relatively reliable brand of electronic cigarette you could recommend to me? I picked up the habit my freshman year unfortunately but I'm looking to avoid tar as to keep my run times up. Sometimes when I run my lungs burn a bit and I absolutely hate that feeling.

If you're here to tell me to quit, I respect your opinion and plan to this summer after I am done dealing with finals. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Coming from a person who smoked for 7 years and quit cold turkey, I can tell you that planning on quitting never works. Because putting a timetable on quitting, what will those extra cigarettes really do for you between now and later?

I finally reached my breaking point when I was so depressed at being so addicted to them. I think every quitter needs this watershed moment in their life to quit but unfortunately not everyone does (which is evident because so many people don't quit).

I wish you luck in quitting. The best advice I can give you is that it is a scary feeling thinking about what life is like without cigarettes, but you will definitely get over it. After all, you spent 18 years of your life as a non-smoker compared to 3 or 4 as a smoker.

I've used the G6 from Halo http://www.halocigs.com . It is the same model as the one sold by Bloog http://www.bloogplanet.com and the G6 parts are interchangeable with it. Halo has better tasting juice. Eliquidplanet Essence line at http://www.eliquidplanet.com has great juice, too.

Make sure you're using a high enough strength to combat cravings. If you smoke more than a pack of reds per day or the equivalent, try 24 mg. Half a pack or a pack of lights, 16-18 mg. Less than that, 12 mg. Very individual thing, but you have to get this part of it right to get the most benefit.

    Good luck!
