Could you share your experience??

I ordered one but haven't had the chance to go down to the store to try it.

This is the one I pre ordered. The watch is nice and all but you're just kiddinG yourself thinking it's worth $700. And this is coming from someone who was very pro watch

SS and Classic

This is my choice too. Ordered this AM, and was lucky enough to see in person at the Apple store today. I was really undecided on sizes until I saw them today, and the 42 did not seem so large. Remember that all these cut-outs are flat, so they don't take the rounded edges into account.

Anyway, really happy with my choice. The Classic band is a nice retro counterpart to the modern watch. The leather is pretty nice. Not like a Panerai leather band, but not $400 either. I have already ordered a Sport band too for hot-humid conditions--I really liked the Sport band too.

I tried on all the bands. I was apprehensive about the Daily wear and tear on that band. I would be afraid of it getting wet too many times and it not holding up. Still, it was beautiful and comfortable.

I ordered the Classic Buckle at 2:15AM because it was the only one left with launch window shipping.

I went to the Apple Store today to try on the different bands. The Classic Buckle Apple Watch is a very nice Apple Watch. It isn't for me though. My wife fell in love with the Modern Buckle, and we plan on ordering one for her as soon as we can order them from the site. Personally I was hesitant towards the Link band, and ended up liking it, while found myself not really liking the Milenase which I thought I would love.

If you haven't ordered yet, theres no harm in waiting for a Try On session at the store. As of right now I can't imagine you'll be waiting much longer to get one that way then if you just ordered online blindly.

Awesome. I ordered a sport band for exercise as well.

I actually wanted to go with the modern buckle but it was available for 38mm cases. That's why I went with the classic buckle.

The sport band is likely to be the leader in comfort, strength, durability, and keeping it's like new appearance.

One of my Swiss Chronographs came with a Black strap of nearly identical material, the watch cost well over $20,000. Thus the point is if buyers are happily waiting as I did for nearly one year to buy this chronograph, I'd bet Apple's Sport Band will be excellent.

Yet I'd also bet the others Apple offers will be nearly as good. No worries.

I really liked the SS band. As someone else said in another thread, it seemed too light, it almost felt plastic in weight. It is my favorite, and I will wait for a cheaper used version. It is nice, but shockingly underweight.

If you ordered one, you will be happy. It is very nice quality.

Sorry which one are you referring to when you say 'SS band'?

I just want to be clear, if I ordered the Stainless Steel Case Black Classic Buckle 42MM, I can order the black sport band and swap out as necessary?

I preordered the SS with classic buckle at midnight and tried it on today at a local Apple store. As requested by the OP, I'll share my experience. Watch weight felt amazing. The SS really stands out due to the shiny exterior. It feels more like a watch in my opinion. I tried the aluminum versions and didn't really care much for them. Not that they weren't nice but I really liked the look and shine of the SS version.

As shown in the photo below, I own a higher end watch and wanted to switch up and go with a leather band. I didn't like the modern one or the loop band. The classic was in a sense, classic. Can wear it with anything. Quality of the band, I wasn't really impressed with to be honest for $150. It did look nice though on wrist. All in all, I don't regret getting it one bit. I also took a look at the milanese loop and didn't like it. It's comfortable to wear with a really strong magnetic clasp, but I didn't care for the aesthetics appeal. The classic with SS looks amazing. I checked out the Space Black through the display and it didn't stand out as much as the SS. If you're going with the SS with classic band configuration, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Thank you so much. Exactly what I was looking for.

I'll be looking forward to getting it then. :)

Hmm so why did you choose it?

Because I really believed in the watch and thought it would be pretty amazing. I mean it really wasn't anything special. Makes me kinda sad :/ was really looking forward to this. Just $700 is not anywhere near what this is worth.
