These are somewhat funny because of the stupidity but scary too.
the two idiots who thought they were George Z and did not seem to know what a pirate is.
the second guy should never have owned a gun since he has no clue how they actually work. If you don't know how to unload your gun you are too stupid to own it.

Byrd shouldn't have had a weapon because he was a convicted felon, regardless of whether he knew how to operate it. He didn't have the weapon legally.

you DON'T want idiots like that knowing how to use guns, the counter argument of course is that if they KNEW how to use guns properly, then they might actually hit who they are aiming for

How do you know they are from outside the country? Its not like we need to import people with limited mental skills.

That said, I would hate to be a criminal defense attorney with the last name Hashish. It would be like having Carlos Boozer represent you in a DUI case.

He will probably sue the government. He'll say that he was unable to practice with the weapon at a range because of his convicted felon status. Therefore the government is liable for being caught.

He won't find any attorney that would take that case. And even if he wrote the paperwork up himself, it would be dismissed by the first Judge that saw it.

The United States Government asserts Sovereign Immunity, meaning that - with very few exceptions - it cannot be sued unless it specifically waives its immunity.

Both the Federal Government and many states have passed Torts Claims acts that allow individuals to sue them over the negligence of State employees (which is why you can sue the State when a rogue police officer shoots you without cause), but not as a result of deliberate acts. And withholding a Felon's right to possess firearms, in accordance with Federal Law, cannot be counted as an act of negligence.

I'm failing to see how George Zimmerman fits into any of the stories you posted. Maybe because the first story was in FL? I think that is even stretching it.

Still stretching it. George did not go after Travon with his gun drawn to apprehend him. That situation is very different from the 2 clown in the story.

    Uh . . . correct.

Nor should specimens such as these be on the interview short list for employment as a State Trooper . . . . but there you have it.

    Now riddle us this.

Why on God's green earth should people like this be able to get their meat paws on a gun in the first place?

The pro gun posters in this forum are conspicuous in their tacit solitude over these obscene displays of inappropriate behavior. Their NRA slip is showing.

you know, drugs are illegal & banned, yet for SOME reason people are able to buy whatever drug they wish off the streets. Banning things does NOT work here in the good ole U.S.A.

And why shouldn't George Zimmerman be issued a permit for a handgun? He has never been convicted of a felony and he has not been diagnosed mentally ill. What justification would the State of Florida have to deny him permission to purchase and/or carry a firearm?

might be just my OPINION, BUT people on mind altering drugs, even legally prescribed, should NOT BE CARRYING or ISSUED an LTC
