Interesting commentary. Best to watch all of it before commenting, especially at the end (he makes an interesting but weird concept called "preemptive defense", which seems to parallel yet without naming GWB's war on Iraq as an example...)

It doesn't matter in the end. Some people will like it and some will dislike it but it will have a negligible affect on the outcome. Similar to the Trump pick, the presidential candidates will rise or fall based on themselves and not a VP pick.

Until a situation where the VP takes over?

I do agree, the candidates will fall or rise based on themselves first and foremost. And VP choice still influences that, even if it's a secondary issue on the minds of voters.

Yep, but it is my opinion that most people don't even consider that in their presidential pick unless the VP is very unlikeable (i.e. a VP pick can hurt but rarely helps)..

Tim Kaine voted to fast-track TPP and just last week proposed even more bank deregulation.

A VP pick can only hurt. Both candidates selected safe choices and will have no effect on the outcome.

    Tell that to John McCain.

As I said in some other post, a really bad pick can hurt. Both Trump and Hillary picked safe choices that will not affect the outcome of the election.

I think John McCain would have lost no matter who he picked :).

This guy seems to be curious about the development, which he recorded before the decision became public:

Do you think he's anti-woman and full of ****? If so, why do you think that?

Yes, and with her the issue is mostly verbal leading to misunderstanding and heckling. Maybe it's knee-jerk reaction, but she wasn't responsible for things that led to the previous economic crisis. Things Kaine seems to support, which seems really odd.

I'll say that Palin was just another anchor on a ship that was already sinking, but yes she hurt his campaign. She amplified all the things already wrong with it. :)

I am pretty impressed with him. He's not easy to ruffle and Hilary needed a calm voice to go against Pence who seems equally calm.

With Kaine I think Hilary should win easily unless something unforeseen happens like a terrorist attack.
