    Hillary’s indictment nears.

FBI Begins Setting Up Formal Interviews in Clinton Email Case

The federal inquiry is nearing its close

Federal prosecutors investigating Hillary Clinton’s email case have begun arranging formal interviews with her longtime aides, according to a report.

The LA Times, citing anonymous sources, reports that dates have not yet been set for the interviews, but the move indicates that the federal inquiry into the former Secretary of State’s handling of her private email server is nearing its close.

“The interviews are critical to understand the volume of information they have accumulated,” James McJunkin, former head of the FBI’s Washington field office, told the LA Times. “They are likely nearing the end of the investigation and the agents need to interview these people to put the information in context. They will then spend time aligning these statements with other information, emails, classified documents, etc., to determine whether there is a prosecutable case.”

As the Washington Post reported in early March, any criminal charges would go through Attorney General Loretta Lynch. In February, she told Congress of the email inquiry, “That matter is being handled by career independent law enforcement agents, FBI agents, as well as the career independent attorneys in the Department of Justice. They follow the evidence, they look at the law and they’ll make a recommendation to me when the time is appropriate…We will review all the facts and all the evidence and come to an independent conclusion as how to best handle it.”

She should have been nailed long time ago already, but it is difficult dealing with teflons appointed in all positions of enforcement.

While Lynch is the one to officially send the case to indictment, the buck actually stops at Obama..good luck with that, he has already made public statements that he believes there is nothing there.

The real fallout will be when Obama & Lynch get Hillary off the hook. If FBI agents determined that felonies were committed and that the rule of law does not apply anymore, a revolt by resignations of feds and public statements will turn the whole affair into a political death spiral for Clinton.

Actually the FBI interview is the sting. If Hillary makes statements contrary to the evidence the FBI has, Hillary could face perjury and obstruction of justice charges with penalties up to 5 years in prison and $250,000 fines.

The evidence the FBI has including testimony by the person who set up Clinton's server will be used to refer indictment to Lynch. If Clinton tells the truth, she will incriminate herself but will have option to make a plea agreement.

IMO Clinton will plead the 5th and will NEVER admit to wrong doing, that is not her MO.

Chances are Hillary will just get fined then never able to touch security clearance materials if elected, worst part would be the Trump/GOP machine would have more fun at mud slinging in this election of credibility & fears she'll use a private server as POTUS too.

Careful what you wish for, DWS is likely to shove Wesley Clark into this election so everybody will be singing Folsom Prison Blues as they're dragged away to re-education & internment camps. Both parties are on the path of handing this election to Trump, if the DNC was smart they'd seriously consider Ron Wyden in an effort to attract moderate Republicans, Libertarians & halt the Bernie or Bust movement

Uh huh. One wonders what conservatives would talk about if not for emails and Bengazi. They are so desperate for something there to be there and have had similar hopes and dreams for 25 years with the Clintons. Such an unhealthy obsession.

Or, maybe there is much ado about nothing? Did you ever consider that? I think I know the answer already.

Not to go on an aside, but am I the only one who thinks that Hillary should concede the nomination to Sanders for the good of the Democratic Party? I don't know what legs this investigation has, or her ultimate culpability. That said, this will be an albatross hanging around her neck in the General Election (should she stay and win the nomination).

Why would she do that when she has received more votes than any other candidate in the race and thinks she has broken no laws? Let's say you believe you didn't do anything wrong, would you really step aside based on other people's allegations. Really? Remember in the United States you are supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. I think a lot of people need to be reminded of that.

Now, if she knows she did something wrong that is a completely different thing. But I do not think that she sees it that way. I guess you could make the same request of Trump over the pending Trump University case, not to mention his horrible divisiveness, but I don't see that happening either.

She's not the type to do that. She'd stick around to the bitter end, and then probably overstay from there.

Though the fact the DNC hasn't asked her to throw her hat in the ring for the good of the party is one of the reasons why I don't think we'll see much come up concerning these emails beyond a few embarrassing security faux pas. As much as the DNC very obviously likes Hillary, I doubt they'd risk the election simply for her sake.
