How can they be the "children of the future" when they are standing there NOW?

BTW the video sucks, obviously written by an adult exploiting kids to make a weak political statement.

    Have a nice day. :)

I'm pro-Obama, but this video is absolutely horrible. Stopped watching after 23 seconds.

The "beauty" of these websites is that anyone can be a producer now. Everyone can choose to ignore it and use the time doing something else.

    That is quite an overstatement.

I've seen far more disgusting pieces of propaganda.

Such as? I can't think of anything as obnoxious as that where children are exploited for a political message..

I didn't watch it, but being uber-cynical, perhaps it was crafted by a Republican?

ok, obviously, and I did not forget that..in terms of US political propaganda is what I was talking about..I thought that was implied.

    ----------

To be honest since I can't imagine anyone being enough of an idiot to produce and tape something like that, it almost wouldn't surprise me if it was some type of setup like that.

Isn't that called the Poe rule? When something is so ridiculous, you can't tell the people who really believe it apart from those mocking it?

It could also be merely a 6th-grade computer-class class project. Amazing what you can do with an iMac these days. Is there any objective evidence where this came from and how it came about? Hypothetically, if I thought the 6th-graders wrote and produced it themselves, then, hypothetically, I would be amused. Previous posters are correct -- if you need some perspective, (re-)watch Triumph of the Will.

Personally I think Cold War propaganda, the Red Scare, actually affected lives and threatened our political freedom far more than a few children singing a stupid song.

I agree with you on this one. I hate the use of children in political propaganda, and I hate anything that tries to pander to people on an emotional level. There are issues that appeal to people on an emotional level, but the delivery should be based on information.

Edit: It's probably not the worst piece I can think of, but I dislike anything that drags kids in for emotional appeal.

Triumph of the Will was pretty bad.
