Okay, I knew the day would come that something newer and quicker would catch my eye that would make me shy away from my beloved 2.5GHz MacBook Pro. well, the day is here and I just picked up a 24" 3GHz iMac. I just set it up and I've already run Geekbench just to get an initial run. I plan to run more system and more importantly graphics tests as soon as I can. but for now, here's the difference between my two systems according to Geekbench.

    2.5GHz MBP w/ 4GB of RAM: 3218

    3.0GHz iMac w/ 2GB of RAM: 3983

-as I said above, I will run more tests and edit this post as needed.

the older imac was faster than your MBP, this one will kill it.

I'm disappointed that the difference isnt very big at all even with the imac having 2gb of RAM. 765 isnt that big of a difference.. The mac pro i remember that I had was around 7790 even with just 2gb of ram... stock and around close to 8500-9000 with 16gb of ram and faster hdd upgrade..
